Jamie L. Gutierrez, 35, Omaha, Nebraska, sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident July 8, 2021, at 8:34 a.m. Gutierrez, driving a 2018 Ford Econoline, was southbound on I-29 at the 118 mile marker approximately eight miles north of Rock Port.

The vehicle travelled off the east side of the roadway and overturned multiple times, coming to rest on its top partially in the southbound lane and partially in the median facing southwest.

Gutierrez, who was wearing a safety device, was transported to George C. Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg, Iowa, by Atchison-Holt Ambulance.

The vehicle was totalled and towed by Benefiels Towing.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. S.S. Base. He was assisted by Tpr. V.P. Wiley, CVE. J.W. Rhoades, Atchison County Sheriff’s Department, Atchison-Holt EMS, and the Rock Pork Fire Department.
