The building just north of Tarkio Tech’s Thompson Learning Center has been renovated and renamed the Dr. Jack Schmidt Welding Center. The school is seeking welding projects for its students.

Do you or anyone you know have any major projects coming up this fall that involve welding and need some help? Tarkio Tech is offering an advanced welding program for students who have taken and completed its welding program. The school is looking for people with welding projects who would be willing to let the students do their welding for them, at no labor cost to them! They will need to pay for the supplies needed for the project. These students are nationally certified welders.

Advanced Welding is a combination internship and major project experience. Students will be placed in a commercial welding shop for five hours per week or a total of 75 hours per semester. In addition, students will complete a total of five hours per week or 75 hours per semester constructing a major welding project(s) according to all specs indicated for the project(s).

If you are interested in letting the students help you, don’t wait, call now! Classes start September 1. For more information, contact info@tarkiotech.com or call 660-623-9071. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have. The staff at Tarkio tech looks forward to hearing from you.
