The Atchison County Development Corporation (ACDC) board met August 11, 2021. Board members present were: Bob Alldredge, Jeff Meyer, Lori Seymour, Roger Martin, Eryn Stepp, Craig Corken, and W.C. Farmer. Monica Bailey and Carol Clark were also present.
The minutes of the June meeting were approved.
The June financials were approved as presented.
Director’s Report
• Continue to provide support to Tarkio Renewal, especially with processing their Property Improvement Grant.
• Business Improvement Program update: Basic Grant, $4,041 available; 2.0 grant, $4,246 available.
• Applications for 2021-2022 Youth Beautification Grant projects are due August 31.
New Business
• Annual meeting awardees were discussed. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 22, at the Tarkio Community Building.
• Restore Rock Port (RRP) submitted a Nonprofit Support Request to assist with covering the cost of D&O insurance. They were recently approved for 501(c)3 status and will begin fundraising for demolition and revitalization projects soon. Martin moved that ACDC give $700 to RRP. Meyer seconded and all approved. Farmer abstained.
• A slate of officers for 2021-2022 was nominated: Lori Seymour, president; Craig Corken, vice-president; Eryn Stepp, secretary; and Bob Alldredge, treasurer. This will take effect after the annual meeting in September.
