The Atchison County Commission met Tuesday, August 3, 2021.  Present were: Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood, South District Commissioner Richard Burke and North District Commissioner Jim Quimby. Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission, was in Jefferson City attending to business for the Missouri Association of Counties.

Presiding Commissioner Livengood called the meeting to order.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

Bills were reviewed and approved.

Deputy Clerk Tasha Zach reviewed details of the Northwest Commission meeting with the commissioners.

There being no further business, the commission adjourned.

Rhonda Wiley, Emergency Management Director, presented Flood Plain Permit #21003 for Phillip Callahan. Wiley reviewed the details of the permit and stated that everything was in order. The permit was approved.

Atchison County Collector Diane Livengood was in to open a sealed bid on property #5005-15-001220 (10-15-06-23-02-003-000100), property owners Nathan and Tammy L. Peters. This property has been offered for sale a minimum of three consecutive times on the county delinquent land tax sale and no accepted bids have been received. This property is now subject to RSMo 140.250, specifically parts 3 and 4 and RSMo 140.260. Under these statutes this property may be sold at any time, without further notices. A sealed bid from Rita Comstock, Tarkio, Missouri, in the amount of $1,300 was opened and read. The commissioners voted to accept the bid. Collector Diane Livengood will complete the sale of the property.
