Beverly R. Hunley, the daughter of Willard Frank and Dolly Luena (Hicks) Riley, was born May 7, 1936, in Tarkio, Missouri. Bev attended Tarkio High School, Tarkio.

In 1954, Bev was united in marriage to Herb Deering and became the parents of five children, Debbie, June, Teresa, Mona, and Toni. They later divorced. In the summer of 1982, Bev was united in marriage to John Hunley. They made their home in Watson, Missouri, and Tarkio. John passed away in 2018. Bev was a stay-at-home mother, caring for her five daughters. She later was employed by Grape Community Hospital, Hamburg, Iowa, until retiring due to health concerns. Bev also cleaned Three Korner’s Antiques for a few years.

Bev was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Tarkio. She passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, in Toronto, Kansas, at the age of 85.

Besides her parents and husband, John Hunley, Bev was preceded in death by siblings, Gladie Lois Thacker, Willard Riley, Jr., Ima Jean Deering, and Elic Riley; and great-great-grandchildren, Izvadi Espino and Nova Masters. Survivors include daughters, Debbie (Rex) Kellum, Toronto, June (Richard) Harvey, Emporia, Kansas, Teresa Torrence, Seattle, Washington, Mona Horn, Arizona, and Toni Deering, Seattle; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald (Connie) Riley, Tarkio, David Riley, Elmo, Missouri, Brenda (Randy Brooks) Daniels, Tarkio, Scott Riley, Walnut Grove, Missouri, Angie (Steve) Jacobs, Topeka, Kansas, Gary (Carla) Riley, Tarkio, and Steve (Carol) Riley, Tarkio; sister-in-law, Karen Riley, Elmo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Monday, August 23, 2021, at the Assembly of God Church in Tarkio. Interment was held at Home Cemetery, Tarkio. Services were conducted by Rev. Glenn Scott.
