The Tarkio Rotary Club will be holding a special open house Monday, August 30, on the Tarkio Tech campus to show off their recent restoration of the Rotary Theater in the Thompson Learning Center. The Rotarians invite everyone to visit the campus between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., tour the theater, and join them for a complimentary hamburger.

In addition to the Rotary’s open house, Tarkio Tech will also be holding an official naming and dedication of the welding center at 11:30 a.m. that day. The new welding center will officially be named in honor of Dr. Jack Schmidt, a former Tarkio College professor, Tarkio High School teacher and outstanding citizen of the community.
