Kaylin Merriweather broke four tackles to score this touchdown against Southwest Livingston. Merriweather had four of the Wolves’ nine touchdowns.

Southwest Livingston was no match for the Wolves’ defense, who stopped them time and time again from making any headway.
The East Atchison (EA) Wolves traveled to Lud-low, Missouri, to take on the Southwest Livingston Wildcats Friday night, August 27, for the first game of the 2021 football season. From the beginning, EA dominated the game, with J.T. Spinnato taking the opening kick-off 75 yards back for a touchdown.
That led to Kaylin Merriweather scoring the first of four touchdowns on the night. Linkin Murry would intercept a tipped pass and take it back for a touchdown and this was followed up with a blocked punt by Josh Smith for a touchdown. At the end of the first quarter, the score was 44 to 0 and at half-time it was 64 to 0.
With the new rule change, teams can elect to continue playing in the second half, so it was agreed that EA would play its junior varsity and there would be a running clock. The final score was 64-6.
East Atchison will be at home (Fairfax) on Friday to take on the newly formed Nodaway Valley Thunder, which is West Nodaway and Nodaway-Holt combined. Game time is at 7:00 p.m.
