Larry Reed Brown, age 80, Fairfax, Missouri, died Thursday, September 16, 2021, at the Shenandoah Medical Center, Shenandoah, Iowa.

Larry was born October 6, 1940, in Tarkio, Missouri, the son of the late Frank Newton and Christina Phae (Wilson) Brown.

Larry attended school in Tarkio. Afterwards he served his country in the Army National Guard.

After being discharged from the Guard, he was united in marriage to Judith Ann (Howell) on October 8, 1958. Larry had worked for over 30 years as a truck driver for TPC in Tarkio.

Larry enjoyed life. He loved camping and fishing, of which his fishing story was always a little bigger than those shared by his grandchildren. Larry was also entertained by watching television whether it be cartoons on Sunday morning, the Golden Girls all day long or Big Joe’s and Molly B’s Polka shows of an evening. Sundays he was like many others – a big Chiefs fan watching football. It seemed he always had time to sneak in a good John Wayne Western.

The last five years of his life, Larry didn’t make any decisions without having the approval of the Boss!

Larry was baptized and attended the First Baptist Church in Tarkio.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judith Ann (December 12, 2016); brother, Charles Brown; and sister, Sharon K. Hubbard.
