Mitch McVickers will be performing a concert at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Westboro, Missouri, Saturday, October 9, at 7:00 p.m. Invite your neighbors to come and see (and hear) God’s message of love! Mitch McVickers is a traveling, concert-giving, and recording musician. It is his vocation. He started out by traveling, writing songs, and doing concerts with his best friend, Rich Mullins. They were in a car wreck approximately 25 years ago in which Rich was killed. Mitch’s recovery was very slow and extensive . . . lasting years. That was a significant event in Mitch’s life and in a big way he has come to experience God’s activity in his life. Mitch tries to communicate this in his concerts. Rich and Mitch wrote a song together entitled “My Deliverer,” which earned them a Dove Award for the best religious song of the year. Since recovering from his accident, Mitch has done over 2,100 concerts in 49 states and 13 different countries. He has recorded 10 full-length albums, 1 EP, and 2 Live Concert DVDs. His newest album, “Shrugging of the Shoulder,” was released on June 21, 2021. Mitch shares his faith experiences and how we are all trying to respond to God’s everpresent and always-infusing grace. He communicates, through word and song, God’s activity in all our lives.
