Help make Thanksgiving a festive occasion for Atchison County citizens in need! Turkeys, trimmings, or monetary donations are being accepted now through November 18, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Atchison County Community Services, 322 Main Street, Tarkio. Most needed items are: turkeys, canned yams and sweet potatoes or boxed mashed potatoes, gravy (packs or cans), canned green beans, stuffing mix, pudding or jello mix, fried onions.

Helping those in need receive Thanksgiving meals takes a village. Community Services, Ministerial Alliance, and the Tarkio Chamber of Commerce join forces each year to see that the holidays remain a special time for everyone. Please consider making a donation. Most of the donations will be going to Tarkio and Westboro residents, but they will be passed to Fairfax and Rock Port residents as well if specified.
