Rock Port/Watson

The Rock Port Ministerial Alliance is again sponsoring the Rock Port/Watson Adopt-A-Family program. Registration is open until November 15. All registrations must be made through Community Services in Tarkio. No late applications will be accepted.

You can adopt a child, family or elder. The drop-off for gifts will be December 14. For more information, message the Rock Port Ministerial Alliance Facebook page, email rpma@rpt.coop, or call 660-253-3535. The new office is located at the Rock Port Community Housing building by appointment only.

Tarkio/Westboro/Fairfax

The deadline for the Tarkio/Westboro Ministerial Alliance annual “Adopt-A-Child” Christmas program is this Thursday, November 11, at 12:00 noon. No applications will be taken after that date (no exceptions). You may call Community Services at 660-736-4646 or Joan at 660-253-0087 to set up an appointment for application (you must call ahead).

Qualified families or individuals may apply for adoption. Tarkio is handling the adoptions for Fairfax this year. Applicants should apply through Community Services, the Tarkio First Baptist Church or Tarkio Elementary (Meghan Hughes, school nurse). The purpose of the “Adopt-a-Child” program is to provide assistance for families who have found themselves in a situation that hinders them from providing for Christmas.
