Marilyn K. Erdman, the daughter of Willis and Charlene (Buckminster) Taylor, was born September 15, 1940, in Corning, Missouri. Marilyn attended Corning and Craig, Missouri, schools, graduating in 1958.

On June 22, 1958, Marilyn was united in marriage to Leo Jacob Erdman. They became the parents of two children, Leo Jay and Lee Ann.

Marilyn was a farmer’s wife and farmed in Nishnabotna, Missouri. Following Leo’s death in August of 2000, Marilyn was employed by Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, Missouri, retiring in 2010. Later, she moved to Plattsmouth, Nebraska, to be closer to family.

Marilyn was a former member of the First Christian Church, Rock Port, and attended Hosanna Lutheran Church, Plattsmouth. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports, fishing, camping, and playing cards. Marilyn also enjoyed boating with her grandson, Taylor and his family, and spending time with family. Marilyn passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, in Plattsmouth, at the age of 81.

Besides her parents and husband, Leo Erdman, Marilyn was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Stephanie (Pierce) Erdman; and friend and companion, Ed Butler. Survivors include children, Jay (Lisa) Erdman, Cameron, Missouri, and Lee Ann (Larry) Boyle, Plattsmouth; nine grandchildren, April Ireland (Wes Thompson), Brooke (Matt) Leamer, Jayson (Caitlin) Erdman, Jacob Erdman (Madison Taylor), Taylor (Cassie) Boyle, Shelby (Michael) Williams, Jessica (Tony) Santo, Jennifer (Christopher) Roup, and Tawni Meadows; 21 great-grandchildren; children and grandchildren of Ed Butler; sisters-in-law, Anna Rosenbohm and Jean Erdman; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Sheri and Doug Lyons.

Graveside service and inurnment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2021, at Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port. There is no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Rock Port Optimist Club for baseball. Online condolences may be left at Services are under the direction of Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
