There are a LOT of local events occurring this weekend. Community members and friends are invited to a Tarkio Chamber of Commerce/Northwest Missouri Enterprise Facilitation Ribbon Cutting at the new Golden Salon and Boutique in Tarkio Friday, December 3, at 3:30 p.m. On Saturday, December 4, the Rock Port Christmas Mall (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and the Tarkio Christmas Celebration (11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) will be held. On Sunday, December 5, the Westyn Amthor Benefit (11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.), the Artist Series performance (2:00 p.m.), and “Legally Blonde – The Musical” (7:00 p.m.) will all take place. East Atchison Winter Homecoming will be held next week with the homecoming basketball games to be played Thursday, December 9, against Fremont-Mills. The games will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Fairfax.
