The Mehaffey Sisters (Susan Slaughter, Linda Lee, and Karen Potter) sang “The Christmas Song” at the Mule Barn Theatre Guild’s Mule Barn Christmas concert.
The Mule Barn Theatre Guild hosted a “Mule Barn Christmas” concert Sunday, December 5, in the Tarkio Rotary Theatre on the Tarkio Tech campus. The concert was part of the guild’s new artist series program which brings musical talent to the theatre for locals to enjoy. Performers included the following:
The Mehaffey Sisters (Susan Slaughter, Linda Lee, and Karen Potter) sang “The Christmas Song,” accompanied by Sidney Cooper on piano. Susan (on piano) and Linda (on flute) also performed “The Holly and the Ivy” and Karen sang “Happy Birthday Jesus.”
Christina Hall, Erica Taylor, and Rebekah Gebhards (known as The Singing Nuns from their performance in The Sound of Music) sang “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and “Silver Bells,” accompanied by Linda Lee on piano.
The Smothers Brothers (also known as Randy Moffit and Johnnie Davis) were hilarious and provided many laughs for the audience.
Dennis Martin sang “O Holy Night,” Shawn Minter sang “Christmas Hallelujah,” Carla Riley sang “Blessings” and “Adonai,” Randy Moffit performed yoyo tricks, and Erica Taylor performed “A Baby Changes Everything” and “Grown Up Christmas List.”
Future productions will include performances by: Roddy Barnes, singing and performing jazz on the piano; Jason Riley, performing Soca Jukebox guitar; and Stephanie McIntosh, accompanied by Johnnie Davis and Bev Jones, performing “Patsy Cline Revisited.”
