There were 27 cases reported to the Atchison County Health Department December 13-19, 2021. They were:
1 female, 1 male, ages 0-9
2 males, ages 10-19
3 females, ages 20-29
2 males, ages 30-39
2 females, 1 male, ages 40-49
4 females, 4 males, ages 50-59
2 females, 1 male, ages 60-69
3 females, 1 male, ages 70-79
Julie Livengood, administrator, said, “We are saddened to report one more death related to COVID-19, a male in his sixties. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
As of December 19, 2021, there have been 956 total cases. There are 23 active cases, and there have been 21 deaths.
There are six active COVID-19 hospitalizations in our local hospital.
Atchison County’s current 7-day testing positivity rate is 11%.
HOLIDAY HOURS
Christmas week hours at Atchison County Health Department are as follows:
Wednesday, December 22: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. COVID testing 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
The health department will be closed Thursday, December 23, and Friday December 24.
