The fourth and fifth graders performed “North Pole Diaries” at the 2021 Christmas Concert Monday, December 13, in the Tarkio High School Gym.
The Tarkio sixth graders performed “Jingle Bells,” “Rather Bumpy Sleigh Ride,” and “Santa’s Angry Elves” at the 2021 Christmas Concert December 13.
The Tarkio Junior High choir sang “Yuletide Rhythm” and “Christmas Carol Jamboree” at the Christmas Concert.
The Tarkio Elementary 4th and 5th graders, and Tarkio 6th through 12th music students performed their Christmas concerts Monday, December 13, 2021, in the Tarkio High School Gym. The gym was filled with family and friends eager to listen to their kids get into the Christmas spirit.
The Tarkio Elementary 4th and 5th graders led things off with their production of “North Pole Diaries” with words and music by Sally K. Albrecht, Jay Althouse, Andy Beck, and Brian Fisher. Led by Tarkio R-I music director Melody Barnett, the 5th grade students, with 4th grade students also singing, performed the following: “North Pole Diaries” with Keely Bredensteiner, Makenna Caudill, and Caleb Corbin speaking excerpts from Santa’s Diary from 12/1/21; “Gettin’ Ready for Christmas” with Vivian Hale, Aiden Erickson, and Kinsley Merriweather speaking excerpts from Santa’s Diary from 12/4/21; “Born to Shop” with Emma Navin, Caleb Smith and Michael Vance speaking excerpts from Santa’s Diary from 12/7/21; “Santa Wants a Brand New Bag!” with Teagan Taylor, Mason Rentschler, and Allegra Brodrick reciting from the North Pole Chief of Staff Diary from 12/10/21; “Santa Needs a Vacation” with Leila Brooks, Bentlee Gladman, and Gabriella Hogue reciting from Dancer the Reindeer’s Diary from 12/15/21; “Hip-Hop Reindeer” with Brilee Slemp and Xander Moore reciting from another Elf’s Diary from 12/18/21; “Away from the Mistletoe” with Owen Vette and Gracie Walker reciting from Bob the Mechanic’s Diary from 12/21/21; and “Up, Up, Up in the Sleigh!” with Josh Schlueter providing an excerpt from Santa’s Diary from 12/24/21. The 4th grade choir students singing included Brynna Alsup, Brody Anderson, Katie Avrett, Ava Brown, Tristan Burke, Landon Driskell, Ea England, Sophie Hegstrom, Viktorya Hogue, Skyla Holtz, Tucker Hurst, Julien Jimenez, Raziel Kimpston, Quad Klosek, Brynleigh Lopez, Graceyn Reeves, Landon Scott, Olivia Searl, Raylan Stillwell, Brayden Widener, Mikayla Windham, and Harper Wood.
The Tarkio sixth grade choir sang “Hot Chocolate” and “Frosty the Snowman” and the band performed “Jingle Bells,” “Rather Bumpy Sleigh Ride,” and “Santa’s Angry Elves.” Sixth graders include: flutes – Kelsey Avrett, Star Hankins, Zoe Rosenbohm, Axyl Slemp, Macy Stepp, and Axlynn Wiley; clarinets – Ian Brown, Rhoni Caudill, Wyatt Landess, Savanna Lindsay, Karsyn White, and Taya Windham; alto saxophones – Conner Thomas and Annalee Livengood; trumpets – Treyvin Lester, Easton Madron, Shaylon McNaughton, Kaiden Nelson, Jax Peregrine, Ben Rolf, and Braylyn Wood; trombones – Ceanna Caldwell, Luke Gebhards, Sophia Riley, Emily Smith, and Nikoli Vassar; and percussionists – Treyton Brown, Maddox Pearson, and Jayden Scott.
The Tarkio seventh and eighth grade choir sang “Yuletide Rhythm” and “Christmas Carol Jamboree” and the band performed “Celebrate the Season,” “Happy,” and “Joys of Christmas.” Seventh and eighth graders include: flutes – Danika Agnew, Beth Clark, Bresayda Jimenez, Dezdamona Kimpston, Bailey Wennihan, and Delainee White; clarinet – Kambry Bullock; alto saxophones – Emily Gebhards, Jina Harbit, Velicity Hegstrom, Rainy Nordhausen, and Chase Pearson; tenor saxophone – Danni Irvine; trumpets – Dalton Hogue and Quin Staten; trombones – Bella Bywater and Aiden Jimenez; baritones – Olivia Schaefer and Josyah Vassar; and percussionists – Grace Caudill, Bo Peregrine, Isaac Vette, and Brody Wennihan.
The high school band ended the night with “Feliz Navidad,” “Never Enough,” and “Ukranian Bell Carol.” Performers included: flutes – Dalaynie Drummond, Hailey Morton, and Alyson Wooten; clarinets – Savannah Caldwell, Haylee Clark, Abbie Harms, Addison Noland, and Brooklyn Wennihan; alto saxophones – Cole Anderson, Emmy Laur, and Teagen Wennihan; bari saxophones – Kamryn Brown and Morgan Shaw; trumpets – Faith Anderson, Alex Barnett, Sydnee Bruns, Jozee Eaton, Draven Egbert, Aaron Schlueter, and Lizzie Schlueter; trombones – Caiden Caudill and Gabe Harms; tuba – Owen DeRosier; and percussionists – Alexis Bywater, River Dow, Daniel Lesher, Connor Morton, and Ian Stepp.
