Atchison County Community Services, located in Tarkio, offers a wide array of services for families and seniors who are struggling with hunger, education, health, housing security, energy assistance, and economic security. Community Services helps families with programs to assist as well as educate to empower families and seniors to get back on their feet.

Community Services has recognized that for some households it is hard to travel to Tarkio for an appointment. They will be at the Rock Port Methodist Church Wednesday, February 16, 12:00-4:30 p.m., and Fairfax City Hall Wednesday, February 23, 12:00-4:30 p.m. To avoid a long wait, it is recommended that you call Community Services for an appointment time.

You will need to bring your income for January and February if working, copy of Social Security/disability award letter or bank statement, Social Security cards for everyone in household, and electric/gas bills if you want to sign up for energy assistance.
