Pleasant View residents enjoy happy hour.

The residents have been busy at Pleasant View the last few months. They have a new favorite game to team up and play, Wheel of Fortune on the Wii.  A lot of the residents commented on how they always watch Wheel of Fortune on T.V and it’s so much fun to be in on the action and play themselves.

We also took a drive to Squaw Creek and drove around enjoying the scenery and one of the warmer days we had. We saw many Bald Eagles, but lost count around 20! Of course a swing through the drive through at McDonald’s to get a milkshake was a must! We have also ventured down to the new Dollar General a few times to let the residents do some shopping!

The residents have enjoyed adding happy hour to the schedule a few times a month! They love sitting around sipping their favorite beverage, having a snack and laughing together.

February is love month, so we showed our staff how much the residents love and appreciate them by making them a sweet Valentine treat. The residents dipped wafers in icing and decorated them with sprinkles. They were adorable and the staff loved them!

We celebrated Valentine’s Day with a surf and turf lunch. Residents got to choose between a steak, shrimp or chicken parmigiana with loaded mashed potatoes, fresh green beans and strawberry desserts. The residents loved the meal and were thankful to the kitchen staff for all their hard work.

Residents and visitors were able to vote for the Pleasant View Valentine King and Queen with their “penny votes.” Keith Ashbaugh was crowned Pleasant View’s King and Betty Henry the Queen.

As we spring into March soon we have a lot of fun things on the calendar. We will be celebrating Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day and many other fun days. We are ready for spring on the hilltop, to be able to have more outings and enjoy the beautiful view on the deck!
