RPHS Scholar Bowl competes at South Holt

Rock Port High School Scholar Bowl began their season March 3 with a meet at South Holt. In the first game, the Blue Jays defeated South Nodaway 280-240. The Jays fell to Osborn 180-290, but came back to beat South Holt 350-180. Point earners on toss-up questions were Bannack Skillen with 180, Sara Newbanks with 40, Anneliese Clauson with 30, and Malachi Skillen with 20. The other members of the team, Aubrey Watkins, Carter Gebhards, and Kenny Brion, contributed on bonus questions. THS Academic Team competes in first event

The Tarkio High School Academic Team traveled to Oregon, Missouri, to compete in the first competition of the season Thursday, March 3, 2022. The Tarkio brain bowlers won the competition with the following scores: Round 1 – Tarkio 310 vs. Stewartsville 90; Round 2 – Tarkio 270 vs. West Nodaway 130; and Round 3 – Tarkio 250 vs. Union Star 200.
