The Rock Port Beta Gals will host the annual Palm Sunday Dinner Sunday, April 10, 2022. The dinner will be held at the Rock Port Elementary Cafeteria, 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. A free-will donation will be accepted. (Text or call 660-619-0437 to order carry-out.) Proceeds from this year’s dinner will be given to Chuck and Kayla Sierks. Chuck was diagnosed in March 2020 with stage 4 adenocarcinoma GE esophageal cancer. With 19 months of chemotherapy behind him, he continues to have scans, lab tests, and a targeted cancer treatment every four weeks at the Nebraska Medicine Buffett Cancer Center.

Chuck is an Auburn High School graduate and grew up north of Brownville, Nebraska. He is a 30-year employee of Atchison-Holt Electric Cooperative and is currently on long-term disability as he continues his cancer battle. Chuck and his wife, Kayla, have two daughters and are longtime residents of Rock Port.
