The East Atchison Wolves Baseball Team competed in a round robin tournament Saturday, April 2, 2022.
Zack Stevens had all the right stuff as he held North Nodaway to zero runs, sending the Wolves on to a 16-0 victory.
The Wolves scored 10 runs alone in the first inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Cameron Oswald, Cory Stevens, Blake Simmons, Carter Holecek, and Josh Smith and an error on a ball put in play by Bo Graves. The Wolves totaled 16 hits in the game. Smith, Simmons, Holecek, Stevens, and Jarrett Spinnato each had multiple hits and Spinnato and Smith led the Wolves with 3 RBIs each.

East Atchison fell to Princeton, Missouri, in a 4-13 defeat. The game was tied at four with Princeton batting in the top of the sixth when Clay Evans drew a walk, scoring one run. The Wolves struggled to stop Princeton’s power house offense and ultimately gave up 8 more runs.
Josh Smith was on the pitcher’s mound for the Wolves, allowing six hits and five runs over five innings, striking out seven. Alex Erickson and Aaron Schlueter entered the game as relief pitchers, throwing one inning each. Luke Morey also pitched.
East Atchison racked up eight hits. Bo Graves and Carter Holecek had multiple hits and Graves went 3 for 4 at the plate.
