Cameron Oswald didn’t feel much like getting out on Monday, tallying four hits and leading the Wolves to a 19-10 varsity win over DeKalb Monday, April 25, 2022. Oswald singled in the first, homered in the third, singled in the third, and singled in the fourth. There was plenty of action on the basepaths as the Wolves collected 15 hits and DeKalb had seven.

East Atchison pulled away for good with 14 runs in the third inning. In the third, Alex Erickson singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Oswald homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Bo Graves singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Braden Graves singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. Jarrett Spinnato singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run. Aaron Schlueter doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs. Errors by DeKalb also allowed the Wolves to score five more runs.

Josh Smith led things off on the hill for the Wolves. The hurler went five innings, allowing eight runs on six hits and striking out seven.

Aaron Schlueter – 2 hits (1 single, 1 double), 2 RBIs, 2 runs; 2.0 innings pitched, allowing 1 hit, 5 walks, and 2 runs (2 earned runs), striking out 5; 1 out, 1 error

Josh Smith – 2 hits (2 singles), 2 RBIs, 1 run, 1 strikeout; 5.0 innings pitched allowing 6 hits, 2 walks, and 8 runs (4 earned runs), striking out 7; 3 outs, 1 error

The junior varsity Wolves also had a successful day, beating DeKalb 6-3. Individual EA stats follow:
