The East Atchison 4×400 Meter Relay Girls’ Team of Grace Oswald, Lizzie Schlueter, Tommi Martin, and Sophia Martin placed 1st with a time of 4:19.30.
The East Atchison 4×800 Meter Relay Girls’ Team of Tommi Martin, Claire Martin, Sophia Martin, and Grace Oswald placed 1st with a time of 10:37.66.
The East Atchison 4×800 Meter Relay Boys’ Team of Cowen O’Riley, Daniel Lesher, Ian Stepp, and Cole Anderson placed 4th with a time of 9:48.42.
EA’s Tommi Martin was named district champ in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:28.71. She also placed 3rd in the Javelin Throw with a distance of 113’9”.
EA’s Payton Woodring was named district champ in High Jump with a height of 5’1”.
EA’s Lizzie Schlueter placed 2nd in the 300 Meter Hurdles with a time of 51.24.
EA’s Grace Oswald placed 4th in the Pole Vault with a height of 7’.5”.
EA’s Jarrett Spinnato won the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 24.04, placed 2nd in the High Jump with a height of 5’10.75”, and 3rd in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 11.91.
EA’s Kaylin Merriweather placed 4th in the High Jump with a height of 5’8.75”.
EA’s Cole Anderson placed 4th in the 3200 Meter Run with a time of 11:18.17.
The Rock Port Girls’ 4×800 Meter Relay Team of Aubrey Watkins, Macie Hale, Rylee Jenkins, and Avery Meyerkorth placed 2nd with a time of 10:57.53.
The Rock Port Girls’ 4×400 Meter Relay Team of Avery Meyerkorth, Rylee Jenkins, Mikayla Makings, and Macie Hale placed 4th with a time of 4:32.98.
The Rock Port Boys’ 4×100 Meter Relay Team of Micah Makings, Dakota Evans, Phillip Herron, and Bracton Cook placed 4th with a time of 47.90.
Rock Port’s Aubrey Watkins won the 3200 Meter Run with a time of 13:23.55.
Rock Port’s Rylee Jenkins was named district champ in the Discus Throw with a distance of 122’2”.
Rock Port’s Avery Meyerkorth placed 3rd with a time of 1:03.62 in the 400 Meter Dash and 4th in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:43.04.
Rock Port’s Phillip Herron placed 2nd in the 300 Meter Hurdles with a time of 44.45.
Rock Port’s Colten Stevens placed 2nd in the Discus Throw with a distance of 135’2”.
Although Rock Port’s Micah Makings did not advance in the Javelin Throw, he did advance in the Triple Jump with a 4th place finish of 34’11”.
The East Atchison and Rock Port track teams traveled to King City, Missouri, to compete in the Class 1, District 5 Track Meet Saturday, May 7, 2022.
The top four finishes in each event move on to the sectional meet Saturday, May 14, in West Platte.
The Stanberry girls’ team won the event with 76 points. East Atchison girls took second with 74.5 points, and the Rock Port girls finished in fifth place with 61 points.
The Worth County boys’ team took first place with 107 points. The Rock Port boys placed sixth with 53 points, and the EA boys placed seventh with 51 points.
