Fairfax and Tarkio first graders visited Community Hospital-Fairfax in Fairfax, Missouri, for the Mary Combs Memorial Pediatric Orientation. It has been several years since the students have been able to visit, due to COVID-19. The kids read “Curious George Goes to the Hospital” and learned all about the hospital, including how to take vitals and look at x-rays. They ended the visit with a ride in a wheelchair and a goodie bag full of items to play hospital when they got home.
