The end of the year for school activities has come and gone, but the Atchison County Mail still has lots of articles and pictures to run. Please be patient with us as we gradually get everything published.

Swimming season is here! The Rock Port Municipal Pool will open at 12:00 noon Monday, May 30, and the Tarkio Municipal Pool will open at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, weather and temperature permitting.

The bridge project at the Hwy. 111/I-29 exit has begun. An alternative route will need to be taken to get onto or across the interstate while the work is being completed this summer.

Memorial Day is Monday, May 30. Be sure to attend one of the ceremonies put on by the legionnaires throughout Atchison and Holt counties. For the complete schedule, see page 11.
