Zoe Madron of Tarkio, Missouri, recently competed at the World Dance Competition in New Jersey.
A dozen girls from the Bearcat Boogie Dance Studio in Maryville, Missouri, recently traveled to the east coast to compete in the World Dance Championships in Secaucus, New Jersey. The girls qualified at regionals. Zoe Madron of Tarkio, Missouri, was among the group that won a “Golden Ticket” at Regionals for “Black Horse and a Cherry Tree” (small group clogging).
Zoe’s group danced in New Jersey on July 30, 2022. The World Dance Championship only announces the Top 10 in no order (no ranks) and Top 5. Her group was in the Top 10 in the world for teen intermediate small groups, which gives them an international title. The other dancers in Zoe’s group were Emsley Spainhower (Grant City), Paige Woods (Stanberry), Brynlee Sargent (Bedford), Harley Sutton (Falls City), and Riley Volner (Hopkins).
While there, the girls were able to see some of the sights such as the Statue of Liberty and the 9/11 Memorial. The girls even attended a Broadway show, “Aladdin.” The trip was made possible through sponsorships from area residents and businesses, as well as fundraisers.
