Blue Jay Nation, here we go! Band camp is in full swing, high school athletic practices have begun, and our junior high athletes start back next week. In addition, many faculty members have made their way back into the building to prep for the school year. August is always an exciting time for our students and staff (whether they want to admit it or not), and this year should prove to be another great one for Rock Port R-II . . . both in our classrooms and in our activities/athletics.

This first year of implementing a four-day school week is sure to be a learning experience for everyone. While there may be some bumps along the way, our staff is committed to ensuring our students still receive the same quality education as in the past. As is always the case, please stay in contact with your student(s) teachers and work together in making this another fantastic school year of learning for your child(ren).

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer free breakfast and lunch to all our students this year. This has been a tremendous benefit to our families over the past two years, but the government has discontinued this pandemic related relief. If you think you may qualify for free or reduced meals, I encourage you to complete those forms at registration. Every little bit helps!

Personally, I truly am excited about having everyone back in the building and seeing our students and staff achieve fantastic accomplishments during the 2022-23 school year. I hope everyone continues to take care of themselves and stays healthy. As always, I leave you with three important words . . . GO BIG BLUE!
