The Rock Port Tourism Board met Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. Members present were Mike Farmer, Holly Huntley, Tami Lansdown, Raechel Schoonover, and Madison Dick. Jody VanSickle joined via phone. Angela Mace and Kayti Hayes were absent.
The meeting agenda was approved.
Approval of previous meeting minutes and the financials was tabled.
A potential member has expressed interest in the empty board position and was told to complete an application.
Band
A schedule from the Country Club is needed. The potential for a Halloween costume party on October 29 was discussed.
The logo competition has concluded. A potential announcement for the newspaper was discussed.
Quilt Show
October 1 was discussed for the date of the quilt show.
Farmers Market
A fourth event date will potentially be added for September 10 as produce vendors will still be available.
Adding a teacher donation table was also discussed. Items sought would include paper products (plates, napkins), drink packets, chocolate, hand soap, etc.
Board members approved an additional $500 for advertising expenses for the September Farmers Market.
4th of July Committee
Volleyball was cancelled due to a lack of teams. Holly has retired from running the event.
The bounce houses and ping pong drop went well.
2023 Events
There was discussion on Bowling with Superheroes possibly in February or March.
