East Atchison Wolves Cross Country Team members were the guest speakers at the Tarkio Rotary Club Tuesday, September 20, 2022. This year, there are 12 guys and six girls who make up the team, comprised of students from Tarkio and Fairfax High Schools. These students agreed one of the reasons they run cross country is because it is an individual sport, yet they realize the better each person does, the better it makes their team. The courses they run are different at each meet. They range from the nice course in Columbia, Missouri, for State Cross Country, to golf courses, fields and even corn fields of Clarinda, Iowa. The team is doing a good job both individually and as a team and have earned several medals.
