The Atchison County Commission met Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Present were: Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood, North District Commissioner Jim Quimby, South District Commissioner Richard Burke, and Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission.
Presiding Commissioner Livengood called the meeting to order.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Bills were reviewed and approved for payment.
Monthly department reports were reviewed and approved.
Additions and abatements were approved to the tax books as follows:
Personal Property (September 2022) – Additions to the tax books were: 2020, $151.19; 2021, $1,974.48. There were no abatements from the personal tax books.
Real Property (September 2022) – There were no additions to the tax books. Abatements from the tax books were: 2015, $32.22; 2016, $168.92; 2017, $169.34; 2018, $170.39; 2019, $172.59; 2020, $173.79; 2021, $191.17.
Ag Rock (September 2022) – There were no additions or abatements to the tax books.
Rhonda Wiley, E-911/Emergency Management Director, and Mark Manchester, Assistant Director, were present to visit with the commission about departmental matters.
The commission continued the inspection of county property.

The commission reviewed the 2023 agreement with the Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments. The commissioners voted to approve the 2023 agreement.
A letter approving the lease transfer of Tiffany Care Centers, Inc., a Missouri corporation, to Pleasant View Healthcare, LLC, operated by Prime Healthcare Management, was signed by Presiding Commissioner Livengood and will be forwarded to Robert Gibson, Tiffany Care Centers, Inc.
A new lease between Atchison County and Pleasant View Healthcare, LLC is being drafted.
