The East Atchison Lady Wolves Varsity Volleyball Team celebrates their victory over Santa Fe in the quarterfinal contest Saturday, October 29. 

 

The East Atchison Lady Wolves Varsity Volleyball Team earned the Class 1, District 16 Championship title Tuesday, October 25, 2022, in Oregon, Missouri. The team defeated the Rock Port Lady Blue Jays in three games to win and advance to Sectionals. Pictured, from left to right, are: front row – Claire Martin, Emilee Caudill, Natalie Hedlund, Tessa Rolf, Alexis Gibler, Grace Oswald, Jasey Smith, and Assistant Coach Michelle Seiter; and back row – Head Coach Madison Hagey, Payton Woodring, Lizzie Schlueter Tommi Martin, Addison Noland, Jersi Poppa, Charlie Smith, and Assistant Coach McKenzie Brockhoff.

Libero Emilee Caudill picks up the dig, one of 26 total she had in the Lady Wolves’ district play.

 

Claire Martin sends the ball over. Claire had 50 assists in quarterfinal action, helping her teammates to score as many points as possible to win.

 

Natalie Hedlund finds the opening at the net. She had 18 kills for the Lady Wolves in the quarterfinal contest.

 

Lizzie Schlueter was hot on the net Saturday with 12 kills and made the final point to win the contest for the Lady Wolves.

 

With the split is Alexis Gibler who had eight kills in the quarterfinal contest.

 

Addison Noland’s hit clears the attempted block.

 

With the serve is EA’s Tessa Rolf. Tessa had six aces in the Lady Wolves’ Sectional win over St. Joseph Christian.
