Charlie Smith competed in the area FFA speech competition November 2 in Savannah, Missouri. She spoke for the Farm Bureau judges and won first place, advancing her to districts. She competed at the district level November 9 in Cameron, Missouri, and was awarded first place, moving her on to the state speech competition. Charlie will travel to Lake of the Ozarks December 4, where she will compete against the five other winners of the Missouri State FFA districts in Farm Bureau.

Charlie, daughter of Dan and Ginny Smith, is a student of Fairfax R-3 School.
