The Atchison County Mail will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 24 and 25, to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families.

Fairfax Light Night will be held this Saturday, November 26, at 6:00 p.m. in the city park. Miss Fairfax Kierra McDonald will turn on the lighted displays and then games will be played and prizes and goodies will be handed out. Santa will also be in the park to visit with all the good little girls and boys.

Junior high basketball is nearing the end of its season. The last home game for East Atchison will be at 5:30 p.m. November 29 at the TAC against St. Gregory’s. The last home game for Rock Port will be November 29 at RPHS against Savannah at 5:30 p.m. The 275 Conference Tournament will take place December 3-8. High school basketball for both EA and Rock Port begins Monday at the Mound City Tournament (see the bracket on page 14 for game times).
