The holidays are almost here. School will be dismissing this week and next for winter break. The schedule includes: Fairfax R-3, 12:15 p.m. early dismissal Friday, December 16, and no school until Tuesday, January 3 (school will dismiss early that day at 12:15 p.m.); Tarkio R-I, 12:30 p.m. early dismissal Wednesday, December 21, and no school until Wednesday, January 4; and Rock Port R-II, 12:12 p.m. early dismissal Wednesday, December 21, and no school until Wednesday, January 4.

Join the fun and get into the Christmas spirit this Sunday in Tarkio at the First Baptist Church Live Nativity from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and the Christmas Light Parade on Main Street at 7:30 p.m.

The East Atchison Girls’ and Boys’ Wrestling Teams will host the Corner Conference Tournament at the Tarkio Activity Center (TAC) Thursday, December 15. Wrestling begins at 5:30 p.m. Head on down to the gym and support the Lady Wolves and Wolves in their first home wrestling event of the season (there are only two at home).

The Salvation Army will be ringing the bells in Rock Port Friday and Saturday, December 16 and 17. Help locals in need have a great Christmas this year by donating.
