Betty Belindia (Jones) Harris, age 93, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away at Springfield Villa on February 13, 2023. She was born September 29, 1929, in Fairfax, Missouri, to Charles and Ella (Green) Jones.

Betty was united in marriage to Norvel W. “Junior” Harris, Jr. on May 26, 1957. This union was blessed by a son, Edward. Betty and Junior lived their lives in Hamilton, Odessa, and Springfield, Missouri. They were constant companions throughout life. They loved to travel and had been many places in their 57 years together. Betty was employed by Manley’s Popcorn Elevator and Harmon’s in northern Missouri during her life.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Edward W. Harris; brothers, Dale Jones, Charles Jones, and Maurice Jones; and sisters, Eva McGuire, “Toots” Mingus, Cleta Hargus, and Carrol Linthicum. She leaves behind her granddaughter, Andrea Harris, and her great-granddaughter, Olivia Hanzlick, both of Springfield; a sister, Rowena Broermann of Shenandoah, Iowa; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her daughters-in-law, Kimberly Harris of Lake Butler, Florida, and Julie Phillips of Springfield, Missouri.

A funeral service was held Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, Missouri. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic.
