The East Atchison wrestlers had fantastic seasons. Every single wrestler worked hard and got better as the season progressed. For the junior high team, for most it was a learning year and for others they triumphed time and time again. For the high school team members, it was a season to remember. Most of the grapplers medaled or found success at many of their tournaments. Kegen Wheeler and Brooklyn Wennihan both qualified for and competed in the MSHSAA Class 1 State Wrestling Tournament. This was not only the first appearance at state for both of these wrestlers, but also the first time an East Atchison wrestler has qualified for state and the first time a female wrestler from either Tarkio or Fairfax has qualified. It’s a great time to be a Wolf! The teams were coached by Matt Darrah, Jerry Collingham, and Grant Turnbull.
