The Fairfax elementary students performed the musical “Hats” as part of the spring program.

 

The Marching Pride Drumline performed at the spring concert.

The fifth and sixth grade choir sang “Witch Doctor” and “Shenandoah.”

 

The junior high choir sang “Memories” and “Be The Change.”

 

The fourth grade band played their recorders at the Fairfax K-12 spring concert.

 

The fifth grade band played “Marching Along” and “Rock This Band” at the Fairfax K-12 spring concert.

 

Third grader Emmett Umbarger performed a piano solo at the Fairfax spring concert.

 

The Fairfax R-3 School K-12 spring program was held May 9, 2023, in the high school gym. It was a wonderful night of music and fun with band and choir numbers and the K-3 musical “Hats.”

“Jig 2” was performed by the Fairfax High School drumline. Drummers include Trent Frohn, Tyler Duering, Kenneth Kirkpatrick, Georgia Swinehart,  Luke Swinehart, Clayton Vernon, Kierra McDonald, and Thomas Church.

The fourth graders played “Rolling Along” and “Jamaican Sunrise” on their recorders. Fourth graders include Zailynn Cook, Jo Hurst, Zach Koop, Brody Landess, Ava Oswald, Alex Pickard, Gabe Rhoades, Joel Vance, Patrick Wheeler, and Parker Woodring.

The junior high choir sang “Memories” and “Be The Change.” Choir members include Ace Allen, Kelsey Avertt, Lataveon Brown, Lexi Brown, Damon Drummond, Tyler Duering, Erin Eyman, Trent Frohn, Chase Gayler,  Carley Graham,  Mason Kingery, Kenneth Kirkpartick, Leila Knight, Wyatt Landess, Holly Litherbury, Alex Martin, Connor Miller, Piper Morris, Anna Ohlensehlen, Carter Oswald, Knox Oswald, Johnny Pickard, Bentley Price, Elsey Rogers, Jaxson Smith, Brady Umbarger,  Emma Vance, and Chloe Vernon.

The 7-12th band played “Into The Clouds,” “September,” and “Star Wars.” Junior high band members include: flutes – Piper Morris, Anna Ohlensehlen, Holly Litherbury, and Kelsey Averett; clarinets – Lexi Brown; bass clarinet – Erin Eyman; alto saxophones – Chloe Vernon and Connor Miller; trumpet – Leila Knight; trombones – Mason Kingery and Jaxson Smith; baritone – Emma Vance; tuba – Johnny Pickard; and percussion – Trent Frohn, Tyler Duering, and Kenneth Kirkpatrick. High school band members include: flute – Amelia Larson; clarinet – Payton Woodring; alto saxophone – Cowen O’Riley; trumpet – Austin Helfers; baritone saxophone – Joaquin Hill; baritones – Kendall Kingery and KayDee Duering; trombone – Trent Kingery; and percussion – Georgia Swinehart,  Luke Swinehart, Clayton Vernon, Kierra McDonald, and Thomas Church.

The fifth grade band played “Marching Along” and “Rock This Band.” The fifth grade band and choir students include: Kaylee Allen (trumpet), Katie Avrett (trumpet), Dominick Bradbury (percussion), Geb Burke (clarinet), Zander Grossman (tuba), Mikayla McDonald, Delaney Oswald (baritone), Mackenzie Oswald (trumpet), Ben Umbarger (clarinet), Alex Wintz (alto saxophone), and Lela Wright (alto saxophone).

The sixth grade band performed “Ghosts in the Graveyard” and “Ayre & Dance.” The sixth grade choir and band members include: Deyton Burke (baritone), Mylie Folkerts, Brenna Kingery (clarinet), Riley Koop (alto saxophone), Caroline Larson (trumpet), Jude Long (trumpet), Aliyah Pearce (clarinet), Evan Rogers (percussion), and Olivia Woods (alto saxophone).

The kindergarten through third grade students performed the musical “Hats” by John Jacobson and John Higgins. Performers include: kindergarteners – Lilly Bailey, Maddox Francis, Caiden Hines, Taylor Long, Isaiah Price, Lane Reed, Alex Rhoades, Brently Stevens, and Nash Stevens; first graders – Xavier Bradbury, Paisleigh Daugherty, Ayden Har-ber, Lucy Heck, Jo Hurst, Nakeyda Mathew, Ellee Salmond, Abigail Umbarger, and Garrett Wintz; second graders – Haleena Allen, Addison Bortka, Greenley Grossman, Harper Hicks, Presley Knight, Jonah Long, William Oswald, Alan Pickard, and Eli Rogers; and third graders – Eli Auwarter, Adelynn Giddinge, Trevelyan Hicks, Ryann Salmond, and Emmett Umbarger.

The 7-12th grade band ended the night with “Warpath” and “Fairfax Fight Song.”
