The Brownville Concert Series welcomes back award-winning singer and pianist, Eric Yves Garcia. When red curtains had dropped, when plates had been cleared and nights were still young, a few select men and women pinned behind their pianos formed the smart after-hours entertainment. These musicians would become midnight destinations unto themselves, their names spoken like luxury hideaways, yet none of them began at those heights. Each used the piano keys to unlock their futures. In his show, “Keeper of the Keys,” Eric Yves Garcia pays tribute to Nat “King” Cole, Hoagy Carmichael, Leslie “Hutch” Hutchinson, Bobby Short, and Barbara Carroll.

The show will be in cabaret Friday and Saturday, June 2 and 3, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, June 4, at 2:00 p.m. Sponsors are Kay Rosenbohm, Laura French, and Kim and Larry Kruger.

Eric Yves Garcia is one of the most coveted, award-winning singer/pianists in NYC, as well as London and Paris. He is the proud recipient of the Margaret Whiting Award, a Bistro Award for Singer-Instrumentalist and most recently, was honored with the Donald F. Smith Award presented on stage at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Originally hired and mentored by Josephine Baker’s adopted son Jean-Claude, Eric was a long-time favorite and fixture at the keys of Chez Josephine, the beloved Theatre District haunt. His current perch is a lauded residency in the Two E Lounge of the renowned The Pierre Hotel on Fifth Avenue.

Across the United States, whether in concert halls, universities, jazz clubs or countless private events, Eric has taken a bow at The Kravis Center, The O’Neill Center, The Historic Asolo Theatre, The Tilles Center, Ten Chimneys, The Brownville Concert Series, Barrington Stage Company and the Silver Seas Line.

Within New York City, Eric has made multiple appearances at Carnegie Hall, 54 Below, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Birdland, Town Hall, Symphony Space, The Sheen Center and frequently guested in the smash burlesque revue, Polite Society. He has headlined at Bemelmans Bar and, most notably, the Café Carlyle. Overseas, Eric enjoyed several engagements in London at Crazy Coqs and The Pheasantry, as well as a happy series of week-long runs at Club Rayé in Paris’ Marais District.
