Director Report

ACDC continues to provide staff support to Restore Rock Port (RRP) and Tarkio Renewal (TR). RRP has been raising funds for the demolition of 321 Main Street and will start raising funds for the next project soon. TR still has funds available in their Property Improvement Grant fund.

The Business Improvement Grant program has $15,000 available. Applications will be awarded until all funds are allocated.

Applications for 2023-2024 Youth Beautification Grant projects are due September 8, and winners will be announced at ACDC’s annual meeting September 13 at the Fairfax school.

New Business

Rock Port Youth Athletic Association’s nonprofit support request for their ballfield project was discussed. Board members voted that ACDC contribute $5,000 to this project.

The group reviewed an additional nonprofit support request for a project that does not clearly fall under the scope of ACDC’s economic/community development goals for the Community Enhancement Fund. Bailey will be in touch with the organization.

The meeting was then adjourned.
