Food pantry packs Summer of Love bags

The Tarkio/Westboro/Fairfax, Missouri, Food Pantry is currently low on the following items: apple juice (64 oz.), cereal, brownie mix, beef and chicken broth (14.5 oz. cans), vegetables (canned potatoes, green beans, mixed vegetables, corn, peas, carrots, kraut – 15 oz.), and pastas (ramen noodles, macaroni, medium egg noodles, spaghetti).

Monetary donations are also appreciated as the money allows the shelves to be stocked with the items that are low. Donations intended for the local food pantry need to be given directly to the pantry. For after hours donations, call 816-261-2672.

The food pantry is located at 315 Main Street in Tarkio.

The pantry will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 15, 20, 22, and 27, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. It will also be open Tuesday, June 20, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Fairfax Presbyterian Church will open the pantry in June.
