The Atchison County Fair starts Monday, July 17, with 4-H Achievement Day at the Velma Houts Fair Building. Displays, demonstrations, animal shows, and the auction will be held throughout the week. The parade on Main Street will be held Saturday, July 22, at 10:00 a.m. (registration begins at 9:30 a.m.). There will be lots to see and do, so don’t miss out! See page 7 for details.

Young actors and actresses have been hard at work at a youth production workshop this week at Liberty Theatre. They will present two performances of Disney’s The Lion King, Jr., Friday, July 14, at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, July 15, at 2:30 p.m.
