The Rock Port R-II School Board of Education held a regular meeting July 13, 2023.

Board President Regan Griffin called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. in the board room. Others in attendance were Afton Schomburg, Joanna Burke, Jared Meyerkorth, Reven Herron, Troy Cook, and Kayla Sierks. Also present were Superintendent Rex Bollinger and Board Secretary Jennifer Welch.

The agenda was amended and adopted.

The minutes of the regular meeting of June 13, 2023, were approved. Dr. Bollinger reviewed the financial information for the month ending June 2023. The transfer of funds, June final check register, July check register to date, and the activity account checks were approved.

Dr. Bollinger presented the monthly program evaluation report on Midwest Data Center.

The board proceeded to address several new items of business. Action was taken to set the date and time for the August tax rate hearing, elect the board treasurer, approve the 2023 – 2024 MARE membership, approve the 2023 – 2024 board meeting dates, approve changes to the 2023 – 2024 work calendar, approve the pay application to Veregy, approve purchase order to Midwest Data Center, and extend a 2023 – 2024  contract to Jessica VanGundy for the open elementary paraprofessional position.

After discussion of future business, the meeting was adjourned.
