Spectators gathered Wednesday, July 26, 2023, to watch the demolition of the dome at the Rock Port R-II School.

The dome is down! On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, Orry Paris, owner of OP Construction, pushed in the last of the side walls on the dome. The dome was constructed and completed in 1997. It served as the high school and junior high science labs, the high school library, business, math and art rooms.
