The Fairfax Presbyterian Church has welcomed a new pastor to the congregation. Reverend Will Roberts and his wife, Cynthia, recently moved to Fairfax, Missouri.

Will grew up in the Shenandoah Valley in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He attended college at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, majoring in government and history. He then attended Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia, where he received his Master’s in Divinity.

Will gave his life to the Lord in college. He remarked, “I decided to become a pastor in college. I had written a newspaper article on my conversion to faith for my local school newspaper. A day after it was posted, I got an email that said, ‘Hi from Australia.’ It was a man named Glen McCulloch. He was an atheist school teacher in Australia that had somehow googled my article. He emailed me to tell me he thought it was well written and to encourage me. The idea that my words had influenced someone on the other side of the globe convinced me to become a pastor.”

Rev. Roberts has served churches in Pierceton, Indiana, Norfolk, Virginia, and Pearland, Texas. He and his wife have been married for three years. They look forward to getting to know everyone in the church and community. “I would like to preach the Gospel and grow my local congregation in faith and numbers. I plan to volunteer with the local Fairfax School in being a mentor.”
