Macy Williams will speak at the annual women’s luncheon.

Marta and Bryan Green have two sons, Samuel and Josiah. Marta will be one of two speakers at the annual women’s luncheon.

Ladies of all ages are invited to the 14th annual women’s luncheon Sunday, October 22, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at The White Barn, 21792 Outer Road, Rock Port, Missouri.

Come ready for a wonderful time of Christian fellowship, encouragement, worship, and prayer as they discuss the theme “Drawing Near to God with Confidence” (Hebrews 10:19-25).  Invite a friend!

This year’s speakers will be Macy Williams and Marta Green.

Macy Williams was born and raised in southwest Iowa but has made a home in Missouri after finishing school at Northwest Missouri State. “In the last six years the Lord has grown my love for playing guitar and songwriting. Worship is what we were created to do. We were made to be enamored of someone greater than us. Only our Creator, the true living God of the Bible, is worthy of all our worship. It’s always a blessing when I get to do that through song.”

“Life has been more of an adventure than I originally thought or sought,” said Marta Green. “After college, the Lord nudged me to put off settling in as a local school teacher ‘for a year or two’ to serve in campus ministry. This launched me into 14 fun, fulfilling, and challenging years reaching out to students around the world. I enjoyed my front row seat, watching the Lord transform hearts and lives.”

She married her husband in 2010 and moved from Athens, Greece, to rural Missouri, a very different kind of mission field that she has grown to love. The Lord fulfilled a life-long desire to have children when the couple adopted Samuel and Josiah in China in 2017. In 2019, after years of involvement in the local public schools, she took up her original career of teaching, homeschooling their boys.

Marta enjoys a good, deep conversation about the things that are eternal – either with the Lord or with people. Moments, like this luncheon, when we focus on God, remind her of His tenacious pursuit to give us deep, abundant life with Him.
