Gregory Kent McMaster, the son of Galen W. and A. Kathleen (Burk) McMaster, was born on November 1, 1946, in Omaha, Nebraska. Greg attended Tarkio High School, Tarkio, Missouri, graduating in 1964. On March 18, 1966, Greg entered the United States Air Force, serving his country during the Vietnam War. He received his honorable discharge on January 14, 1970.

In 1969, Greg was united in marriage to Brenda Coffey and they became the parents of two children, David and Kristel. They later divorced. In 1989, Greg was united in marriage to Kathy Haskins, and they made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kathy passed away on January 20, 2023.

Greg was employed as a collection agency manager in Oklahoma, where he retired.

Greg enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with family. Greg passed away Friday, September 1, 2023, at his home unexpectedly with his best friend and companion, Missy his chocolate lab by his side, at the age of 76.

Besides his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy McMaster. Survivors include his children, David McMaster and Kristel (McMaster) Ferris; grandchildren, Braden McMaster, Allie (McMaster) Jordan, and Kendalle Ferris; great-granddaughter, Nova Jordan; and sister, Gayla (McMaster) D’Andrea.

Graveside funeral service and interment were held Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Home Cemetery, Tarkio. Full military honors were under the direction of Allen-Schiffern American Legion Post #199, Tarkio. Memorials may be directed to Home Cemetery, Tarkio.
