Mrs. Kristine Price, left, visited the Fairfax Optimist Club meeting Tuesday, September 5, and gave a report on the inner workings of the Fairfax R-3 School library. At the end of the school year, she weeds out books that have seen better days as well as duplicates to make room for new books that entice early readers. The children love this as they get to choose from these books to take home. The Fairfax Optimist Club helped with that endeavor and donated $250 to Mrs. Price for books.
