The East Atchison Wolves traveled to Burlington Junction Friday night to take on Nodaway Valley Thunder in their third game of the season. The Thunder would get on the board first, but Cameron Brooks would go 45 yards to bring the score to 8-6 Nodaway Valley.

In the second quarter, Nodaway Valley would go on to score two more times and hold the Wolves to only the one touchdown, giving the Thunder a 22 to 6 halftime lead.

Coming out of the half, Nodaway Valley would add six more points to their lead, but the Wolves would battle back, scoring the next two touchdowns – one  by Linkin Murry, who scored on a 34 yard run, and the other by Brody Wennihan on a five yard keeper. Both two point conversions were good, making the score 30-22. The Thunder would manage to find the end zone two more times to bring the final score to 44-22 in favor of the Thunderbirds.

The Wolves will be back home Friday, taking on Mound City in Fairfax.
