The East Atchison Wolves hosted the Mound City Panthers Friday, September 15, in Fairfax. EA opened up the scoring on the opening kick-off with Linkin Murry returning the opening kick for a 51 yard touchdown. Murry would score again at the end of the first quarter, with both point after attempts failing. The score at the end of the first quarter was 12 – 0. The Panthers also got on the board with a 35 yard quarterback keeper. The two point conversion failed, and the score was EA 12, Mound City 6.
The third quarter was a defensive back and forth, with neither offense able to finish a drive. The score at the end of the third remained EA 12, Mound City 6.
The Panthers pulled together one more scoring drive to tie the game and were able to convert the two point conversion to make the final score EA 12, Mound City 14.
The Wolves face Platte Valley in Barnard, Missouri, this Friday, September 22. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
