The Lady Wolves hosted the East Atchison Golf Tournament Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the Tarkio Golf Course. The Lady Wolves were the champions, finishing the day with a team score of 418. Other teams and their scores were: Auburn (A), 474; Rock Port (RP), 515; and Worth County (WC), 528. Mound City also competed, but didn’t have enough girls to qualify as a team.

The top five individuals earned medals. They included: Alex Barnett (EA), 1st with an 87; Sydnee Bruns (EA), 2nd with a 94; Jamisyn Kirkpatrick (A), 3rd with a 95; Lucy Hayes (A), 4th with a 102; and Bridgette (WC), 5th with a 103. Other Atchison County golfers included: Amelia Larson (EA) – 111; Payten Shrader (RP) – 116; Landrey Kelly (RP) – 123; Brylea Shrader (RP) – 125; Kami Brown (EA) – 126; Hadleigh Jones (RP) – 151; Jillian Hannah (EA) – 155; and Kiera Roup (RP) – 157. Beth Clark (EA) played junior varsity and finished with a 167.

The Atchison County teams each have three more competitions before heading to the Class 1 District 4 Golf Tournament October 5 in Plattsburg.
